Privacy Policy
Last updated: 9 July 2026
This policy explains what data qrcafee collects, why, and what we do with it. We try to keep this short and honest.
What we collect
To run your account we store your email, your password (hashed, never stored in plain text), your business name, and the menu items and photos you upload. To run the website reliably we log basic request metadata (timestamp, route, status code) for a short rolling window. We do not collect payment information because qrcafee is free.
What we don't collect
We do not track the customers who scan your QR code. We do not use third-party analytics on the public customer-facing menu. We do not sell or rent any data to third parties, ever. We do not place advertising on customer-facing menu pages.
Cookies
We use a small number of first-party cookies: one to remember your chosen language (Arabic or English) and one to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies on this site. Third-party services like Google AdSense and Google Tag Manager may set their own cookies — see Google's policies for details.
Third-party services
Our marketing pages use Google AdSense to display ads and Google Tag Manager for aggregated, anonymised traffic measurement. These services have their own privacy policies. Customer-facing menu pages do not run AdSense and do not include tracking pixels.
Data retention
We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your menu items and uploaded photos within 30 days. Backups are rotated out within a further 90 days. Anonymised aggregated metrics (like total number of menus created) may be retained indefinitely.
Your rights
You can export, change, or delete your menu data at any time from the dashboard, or by emailing us. If you are in the European Economic Area, the UK, or a similar jurisdiction, you have the right to access, correct, port, and erase your personal data. We honour those requests for everyone, not just residents of those regions.
Contact
Questions about this policy or about your data? Email us via the contact page. We reply to every privacy request, usually within one business day.
Changes
If we make material changes to this policy we will post the updated version here and update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of qrcafee after a change means you accept the updated policy.
